Cathedral Window Quilt

Cathedral Windows

A challenge I have laid out for myself this year- at least one window a day with updates on Sunday. If I do more yeah! I just love these heirloom type quilts and can't stop myself. I knew I had a plan for the Meadowsweet. I am using Kona Snow for the background. So far, I have stuck to the plan. This is the first block with day 1-7.

  4. I have been wanting to make this Cathedral Window quilt for years. Some day....but love yours and very proud of you for pursuing it this year. I also love Kona Cotton and think your choice of fabrics will make this a spectacular quilt. I'm looking forward to seeing it as you progress, and being there to celebrate the finish.

  5. Stunning. What method are you using? It's so very neat and tidy. I must try sometime. I recently googled tutes and watched a great YouTube vid for a cool method where you sew up the sides of the base square, then bring the seams together and sew again, but leaving a hole for turning the thing RSO. I'd never seen them done this way.

I like your plan - it will be done, that's for sure (and so, so beautiful!!).
