A challenge I have laid out for myself this year- at least one window a day with updates on Sunday. If I do more yeah! I just love these heirloom type quilts and can't stop myself. I knew I had a plan for the Meadowsweet. I am using Kona Snow for the background. So far, I have stuck to the plan. This is the first block with day 1-7.
Ohh.. it's going to be beautiful! The cathedral window quilt is one that I have on my "future" wish list of quilts I'd like to make someday. I'll be watching yours for sure!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the process of making one also...I think your is neater than mine. I seldom work on it..mostly when I have to go somewhere & wait. Good luck
ReplyDeleteThat's really pretty! Good work!!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to make this Cathedral Window quilt for years. Some day....but love yours and very proud of you for pursuing it this year. I also love Kona Cotton and think your choice of fabrics will make this a spectacular quilt. I'm looking forward to seeing it as you progress, and being there to celebrate the finish.

Stunning. What method are you using? It's so very neat and tidy. I must try sometime. I recently googled tutes and watched a great YouTube vid for a cool method where you sew up the sides of the base square, then bring the seams together and sew again, but leaving a hole for turning the thing RSO. I'd never seen them done this way.
ReplyDeleteI like your plan - it will be done, that's for sure (and so, so beautiful!!).
Your cathedral windows are so neat and gorgeous - any chance of a little tutorial of the method you used, pretty please?
ReplyDeleteIt's just stunning!

I am in love! Not even going to think about attempting something so awesome until I have made half a dozen quilts! But I will dream!
ReplyDeleteOh tutorial, please! This has to be the tidiest CW I've seen. VERY pretty! Good luck on the progress :-)
